Moctezuma I was crowned sovereign of the great Aztec empire in 1440, thus starting the age of the gold of the Aztecs. During his reign, Moctezuma I called the image of the Aztec Empire that we know today: a state full of culture and mythology. The capital Tenochtitlán, today's Mexico city, flourished during its kingdom. The Patron of Art Homage to Moctezuma The limited edition 4810 of Montblanc with details of the Champagne gold color finish is dedicated to this great sovereign of one of the most exceptional civilizations in history. The general design is inspired by an Atlatl, an Azteco tool launches Arpioni. The shape of the cone, embellished with a very fine hammering, is inspired by an Aztec sacrificial knife with oxidian blade. The colors of the lacquer - oil and carmine red - are inspired by the colors of the royal cloak. The two horsefish with a hoody decoration symbolize the years of the Kingdom of Moctezuma I. The Pennino made by hand in massive gold Au 750 is adorned with a precious incision inspired by the azteco glyph for the city of Tenochtitlán: a three -armed cactus with a diadem real and two ornamental turns.
